Nowa poprawka dla emulatora SONY PLAYSTATION - PCSXR. Co prawda rozwój tego emulatora dotyczy przede wszystkim wersji GTK (linux i dla masochistów win) i MacOS, jednak wprawne oko znajdzie także pare fixów dla wersji Windows. Paczka jak zwykle oprócz pluginów dostarczonych z pcsxr dozbrojona została o nowe shadery z emuFrance, shader GLSL PSXFX SHADER V1.0 i GpuBladeSoft.

Pojawiła się nieoficjalna poprawka modyfikacji emulatora Sony Playstation - PCSX ReRecording - pozwalającej na zapisu stanu emulacji, przewijanie akcji czy też przeszukiwania pamięci. PCSX-RR od dłuższego czasu niebył aktualizowany, a poprawki autorstwa Nacha i Feosa z TAS'u rozwiązują część problemów, z jakimi program się borykał.

Wśród nowych projektów emulatorów (a jak chce autor symulatorów) konsol Sony, warto rzucić okiem na hpsX, wymagającego 64-bitowej dystrybucji Windows. Autor projektu, ukrywający się pod nickiem TheGangster wykorzystując kod MESS i PCSX i dzięki pomocy Martina Kortha (seria no$cash, w tym no$psc) i drHell twórcy, ostatnio, nie aktualizowanego emulatora Xebra/Abrex serwuje nam program, który powoli zaczyna nabierać rumieńców. Co prawda, póki co, autor skupił się przede wszystkim na module emulacji psx1, jednak w planach ma także odpalenie drugiego modułu pozwalającego symulować działanie konsoli PS2. Na tym etapie projektu, jednak to jeszcze odległa przyszłość.

PPSSPP jest kolejnym młodym projektem emulatora Sony PSP, napisanym w C++ przez jednego ze współautorów emulatora Dolphin udającego konsolę Nintendo Wii/GameCube Henrika Rydgarda, jednak od wczoraj zyskał on, podobnie jak Dolphin status open source i każdy może korzystać z repozytorium na githubie. Z wersji na wersję aplikacja nabiera rozpędu, ba już w chwili obecnej, pod względem prędkości i jakości grafiki 3D, niekiedy przebija konkurencję - co prawda, jest na tyle jeszcze niedopracowany, że o jakiejś poważniejszym zastosowaniu nie ma jeszcze mowy - jeszcze trzeba chwilę poczekać.
