PCSX2 jest jedynym emulatorem SONY PLAYSTATION II, który z powodzeniem pozwala pograć w gry, które oferuje oryginalna konsola. Poniższe publikowane wersje są zapisem prac na kodem tego emulatora i wszystkie one mają status deweloperski, co znaczy, że należy liczyć się z problemami - czasami mniejszymi, czasami większymi. Ostatnia oficjalna wersja nosi numer 0.9.8 i można ją ściągnąć np. stąd lub ze strony domowej projektu. Pliki pochodzą z oficjalnego BOTa projektu z serwisu ORPHIS.

Autor emulator Gens32 Surreal pracuje nad własnym pluginem dla emulatora Sony Playstation 2, który rozszerza GSDX o parę przydatnych funkcji m.in. jasność, saturację i parę hacków, które przydadzą się podczas zabawy w gry na emulowanym ps2. Jedynym źródłem nowych wersji tego plugin'a będzie zapewne ECR - autor wtyczki i wspomnianego emulatora posiada, co prawda stronę - ba, posiada nawet forum, do którego zalogowanie się z prawem pobierania plików graniczy z cudem.

Pojawiła się kolejna aktualizacja pakietu "EmuCenter", zestawu emulatorów udających konsole Nintendo - Nes,SNES, GB, N64, GC, DS and Wii; Segę: SMS, SMD, GG, Saturn i DC, Sony :PS1/2 a także PSP; Neogeo i systemy arcade (Capcom CPS, CPS3, Taito, Sega model 2, Arcade LaserDisc) a także Turbographx. W 2.2 dodano nowe tryby filtrowania w emulatorach Gamecube/Wii/PSP/PS2, plus parę dodatkowych, kosmetycznych zmian.

N30 Hacks, o których wspominałem jakiś czas temu oprócz modyfikacji Final Burn Alpha, udostępniają także zmodyfikowaną wersję ZiNc'a, czyli emulatora obsługujący maszyny arcade systemów X-1a, FX-1b, Namco System 10, Namco System 11, Namco System 12, Sony ZN-1 i Sony ZN-2, który godnie zastąpił wcześniejszy świetny emulator Impact (był czas iż narobił on nie mniej szumu niż pojawienie się Supermodelu Barta Trznadlowskiego). Modyfikację, jak nie trudno się domyśleć w wypadku tego hiszpańskojęzycznego serwisu, polegają na dodaniu obsługi wszelkiej maści hacków, które można ściągnąć także ze strony ekipy N30 (warto zerknąć na RSS, nie tylko po emulatory).

Nowe czyszczenie kodu przez edgbla w emulatorze SONY Playstation zaowocowało rozbudową kontroli padów, a w tej rewizji dodano patch poprawiający tryb analogowy.

Nowe czyszczenie kodu przez edgbla w emulatorze SONY Playstation zaowocowało rozbudową kontroli padów. Ot, i tak miło, że w końcu pojawiło się coś nowego;).
