DragonShadow Industries is the name we slap on any of our creations. It originally came from the handles we used a long time ago - Dave was Dragon and I was Shadow. We squashed them into one word (with two capital letters) and appended the cool-sounding "Industries" on the end. Before DSI we used the name "Enforcers" which you'll find on one of our games, Mega-Gun.
We've played and made games for as long as we've known each other (since 1983 by my recollection). Most of our creations originated from construction sets released for various games (Adventure Construction Set, Racing Destruction Set, etc). We also made some original games using game-creation programs such as Gary Kitchen's Game Maker and Shoot 'Em Up Construction Kit. Off the top of my head here's a list of the various programs we used:

AXPbox is a fork of the discontinued es40 emulator. It could theoretically used for running any operating system that runs on the OpenVMS or Tru64 PALcode (e.g. OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, Linux, NetBSD), however as of now only OpenVMS and some versions of NetBSD can be installed (for more details see Guest support). The emulator supports SCSI, IDE, serial ports, Ethernet (using PCAP) and VGA graphics (using SDL).

Memotech computers were based on the Zilog Z80 8-bit microprocessor. The computers were originally available in two models, the MTX500 with 32KBytes of RAM (£275) and the MTX512 with 64KBytes of RAM (£315). The MTX500 was launched at the Earls Court Computer Fair in June 1983 and the MTX512 was available later in the year. The final machine from Memotech Computers, released in September 1984, was the RS128. The RS128 was fitted with 128 KBytes of RAM and used page switching to get around the Z80 restriction of only being able to address a maximum of 64KBytes of RAM. Memotech released a "low cost" CP/M package consisting of a MTX512, 500KB disk drive and an 80-column board that fitted inside the MTX case in August 1985. At £499, this was much cheaper than the FDX option, but came too late to save the Company.

Wataroo is a Watara SuperVision emulator. It was originally written after I lost a bet with Brandon Cobb. As with a genuine SuperVision, the best way to use this software is not at all.
As of writing Wataroo is closed source and only available for Microsoft Windows.
This program is intended as a development tool for and preservation of the SuperVision architecture. While it can be used to run commercial software I will neither assist nor prevent users from doing so. You are on your own.

What keeps the CoCo Alive is the many folks that persist in keeping the CoCo the BEST of the 8-bit machines of the past.
