Themeister zapowiedział zmianę nazwy emulatora SUPER NINTENDO - SSnes, który bazował na bibliotece z emulatora Byuu - BSnes na RetroArch. Zmiana jest podyktowana poszerzeniem możliwości programu o obsługę innych bibliotek emulacyjnych, z którymi RetroArch komunikuje się poprzez libretro a dzięki temu pozwala nam zagrać w gry ze SNES (biblioteka bsnesa, snes9x, snes9x-next), NES (biblioteki bNes, FCEU), GBC (gambatte), GBA (VBA-Next, Meteor), SEGA GENESIS (Genplus GX) a także gier arcade dzięki obsłudze biblioteki FinalBurn Alpha. Oczywiście, retroarch zachwuje wszystkie funkcjonalności ssnesa - obsługę shaderów (DX,OpenGl), możliwość zgrywania materiału video dzięki zastosowaniu bibliotek ffmpeg, czy też gry poprzez sieć P2P. Nakładka na biblioteki, bo trudno tak naprawdę traktować RetroArch jako » więcej

Kolejne poprawki w emulatorze NINTENDO 8 - puNes, nie jest to tak rozbudowany emulator jak seria FCE, jednak wśród młodych projektów radzi sobie na tyle dobrze, że warto go przetestować (w porównaniu np. do MyNES, która nawet pod Win7 ma ze sobą problemy).

Kolejne poprawki w emulatorze NINTENDO 8 - puNes, nie jest to tak rozbudowany emulator jak seria FCE, jednak wśród młodych projektów radzi sobie na tyle dobrze, że warto go przetestować (w porównaniu np. do MyNES, która nawet pod Win7 ma ze sobą problemy). Nowa wersja dodaje "raj dla cheaterów", czylo obsługę kodów GAMEGENIE.

FCEUX is a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Famicom, Famicom Disk System (FDS), and Dendy emulator. It supports NTSC (USA/JPN), PAL (European), and NTSC-PAL Hybrid modes. It supports both Windows and SDL versions for cross compatibility. The FCEUX concept is that of an "all in one" emulator that offers accurate emulation and the best options for both casual play and a variety of more advanced emulator functions. For pro users, FCEUX offers tools for debugging, rom-hacking, map making, Tool-assisted movies, and Lua scripting FCEUX is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many distinct branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCEU Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, FCEUXDSP CE, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing version of the FCEU emulator that provides the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.
