Diese Seiten sind mittlerweile über zwanzig Jahre alt (der Start war am 9. Oktober 1997), also mindestens so alt, wie der älteste hier vertretene Computer zum damaligen Zeitpunkt war. Retro in jeglicher Hinsicht also. :-)

Muzeum Gier i Komputerów Minionej Ery to miejsce mające przypomnieć osobom żyjącym i dorastającym w drugiej połowie dwudziestego wieku zdobycze pierwszych lat informatyki i video rozrywki. The TI-99/4 and TI-99/4A are home computers released by Texas Instruments in 1979 and 1981, respectively.[2] The TI-99 series competed against home computers such as the Apple II, TRS-80, Atari 400/800, and VIC-20.[3]
Based on Texas Instruments's own TMS9900 microprocessor originally used in minicomputers, the TI-99/4 was the first 16-bit home computer.[4] The associated TMS9918 video display controller provides color graphics and sprite support which were only comparable with those of the Atari 400/800 released a month after the TI-99/4.

Auf der linken Seite sind die einzelnen Geräte der 8Bit-Wiki aufgeführt, der obere Link "8Bit Datenbank" führt direkt zu den einzelnen Unterordnern. Blisko 20 z 37 różnych gatunków automatów są w stanie roboczym. Działają one po wrzuceniu sowieckiej monety o wartości 15 kopiejek, na której nawet tylko znak sierpa i młota budzi w pamięci minione czasy. Odwiedzający mogą spróbować zagrać w automat «Bitwa morska», gdzie gracz rozgląda się w peryskop i udaję kapitana łodzi podwodnej atakując wrogie statki. W grze «Tankodrom» gracz musi pokonać rakiety nośne jeżdżąc małym plastykowym czołgiem. Museum również posiada sowieckie automaty typu Flipper, «Hokej na lodzie» dla dwóch lub czterech graczy, grę «Snajper» oraz wczesne gry video (automaty arcade) o nazwie «Gorodki» i «Skachki» («Wyścigi konne»).

The DigiBarn Computer Museum seeks to capture personal stories and track technological evolution through a large collection of vintage computer systems, manuals, videos, interviews, and other fossil relics of the "Cambrian explosion" of personal computing that ignited in 1975. When we get visitors who "burst into tears" upon seeing certain systems which may have defined their lives and careers, our cameras roll to capture the inevitable stories. Thus the interconnected redwood rooms of the museum constitute a kind of "memory palace" for the nerd-inclined and help us piece together the amazing story of the invention of personal computing and Cyberspace. It is my fantasy to one day "get professional help" (ie: a foundation grant or other philanthropic support) and really have the resources to fully document the people and their inventions, and thereby capture the true essence of this time in history.
