AXPbox is a fork of the discontinued es40 emulator. It could theoretically used for running any operating system that runs on the OpenVMS or Tru64 PALcode (e.g. OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, Linux, NetBSD), however as of now only OpenVMS and some versions of NetBSD can be installed (for more details see Guest support). The emulator supports SCSI, IDE, serial ports, Ethernet (using PCAP) and VGA graphics (using SDL).

This is the most powerful X68000 development tool in existence today. It is a fork of version 2.05 of PI's abandoned XM6 emulator. The changes are mostly user-interface related, and the focus is on development and debugging features rather than accuracy of emulation; however, it has enough general-interest improvements that I'm confident in recommending it over XM6 version 2.06 (the final official version).

PC-BASIC is an interpreter for GW-BASIC files. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux and other Unix-based systems and targets full compatibility with GW-BASIC version 3.23. PC-BASIC can run (and convert between) ASCII, bytecode and 'protected' (encrypted) .BAS files. It implements floating-point arithmetic in the Microsoft Binary Format (MBF) and can therefore read and write binary data files created by GW-BASIC.

Memotech computers were based on the Zilog Z80 8-bit microprocessor. The computers were originally available in two models, the MTX500 with 32KBytes of RAM (£275) and the MTX512 with 64KBytes of RAM (£315). The MTX500 was launched at the Earls Court Computer Fair in June 1983 and the MTX512 was available later in the year. The final machine from Memotech Computers, released in September 1984, was the RS128. The RS128 was fitted with 128 KBytes of RAM and used page switching to get around the Z80 restriction of only being able to address a maximum of 64KBytes of RAM. Memotech released a "low cost" CP/M package consisting of a MTX512, 500KB disk drive and an 80-column board that fitted inside the MTX case in August 1985. At £499, this was much cheaper than the FDX option, but came too late to save the Company.

The PRIMO is a home computer which was developed in the 80's by a hungarian computer developer called
SZTAKI
. This is a 8 bit machine, with Z80 CPU. The hardware is realized modesty, but there are some interesting features in this machine. There are more than one product line. The series

has touch keyboard (works on capacitive way, this is the original Primo feeling). The series
B
has normal keyboard. There are tales about the series
C
and in this series was the ROM upgraded. We should take a mention about the Pro Primo, which has color screen. (There was a photo in a micro computer magazine near '86, and on this photo is a complete Pro Primo configuration, likely the one and only prototype.)

sdltrs is a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I/III/4/4P emulator for Macintosh OSX, Windows, and Linux. It has been ported from Tim Mann's excellent X-Windows UNIX emulator xtrs. Instead of using the X-Window system for graphics, it uses the portable SDL library.
