sdltrs is a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I/III/4/4P emulator for Macintosh OSX, Windows, and Linux. It has been ported from Tim Mann's excellent X-Windows UNIX emulator xtrs. Instead of using the X-Window system for graphics, it uses the portable SDL library.

trs80gp emulates the "gray" line of TRS-80 computers made by Tandy in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They are known as the Model I, Model II, Model III, Model 4, Model 4P and Model 4D. It is generally easier to refer to them as the Model 1, Model 2, Model 3 and Model 4. The Model 1, 3 and 4 are a line of compatible computers. The Model 2 has its own line of compatibles including the Model 12, 16 and 6000 which are not yet emulated by trs80gp.

These emulators are written in 80486+ assembly language and require a Pentium compatible processor.  The front-end is written in C++ to provide a user friendly interface. All the TRS-80 emulation runs in assembly language for maximum speed. The start-up, configuration and virtual media selection screens are written in C++.  These programs emulate the TRS-80 Model 1, Model III/4/4P, Color Computer 1/2 & Color Computer 3. These microcomputers were popular in the 1980s. The emulators all function exactly like the real thing, including the ability to read and write real TRS-80 disks & cassettes.
