Powerups
Certain bricks contain powerups. These always appear in order, they are not tied to specific bricks. The powerups disappear after a couple of seconds, or if they leave the screen.

You can only have one of the temporary powerups. They are held, and are activated by pressing the space bar. When all four have been shown, they will cycle back to the clock as the next powerup.
Gameplay Tips
First bossfight (Stage 4): If you can shoot, the giant ant can be killed with 8-10 shots. Bosses can only be killed with headshots. If you did not collect any powerups (or lost a life), you need to jump over it. Its pattern is simple, but can be hard to dodge - it moves fast forward and backward twice, before making a slow charge and retreat. This is the best time to jump over it.
You can walk through red peaks cautiously. You can safely jump between these, as only the tip of the peak can hurt the player.
Entering bonus levels is very easy (provided you can find them). After leaving bonus levels Giana is propelled into the air, and you must quickly move her to a safe platform (or risk falling back down and losing a life). |
