[SNES] SSNES v0.8.2

W weekend zaktualizowano też kod SSNES (nawet kitajec z rozpędu wrzucił kod źródłowy;)), który wykorzystując bibliotekę bsnesa byuu emuluje konsolę SUPER NINTENDO dorzucając oprócz mocno rozszerzonych ustawień także możliwość nagrywania filmów czy też skorzystać z setów zewnętrznych shaderów aby zmodyfikować generowany obraz przez rdzeń emulatora. Koneserzy poziomem emulacji będą zachwyceni, pozostali przyzwyczajeni do filozofii ze Zsnesa czy Snes9x raczej nie będą nim zainteresowani.

SNES 0.8.1 21.09.2011

  • Disable windowed resizing on OS X to avoid black screen on resize as proper events to detect resize are not passed to SSNES.
  • SSNES now builds and runs with SDL 1.3 as well as 1.2. Expect some bugs if you choose to compile with 1.3, but it should mostly work.
  • - Added support for SRAM blocking when save states are loaded. Settings this option will protect SRAM from being overwritten by loading save states. Some games might not like this option if they use SRAM as if it was regular RAM.
  • - Only autosave SRAM when data is actually changed. 1 second autosave intervals are now more feasible

GUI:

  • Fix regression in Windows where launching SSNES and repeatedly swapping between fullscreen and windowed mode would cause a hang (yes, it's a GUI bug ...).

SNES 0.8.1 12.09.2011

  • Add possibility to change color of OSD font. video_message_color takes an RGB hex value. Support in OpenGL, XVideo and SDL drivers.
  • SDL driver renders font post-scale, rather than pre-scale for much neater looking fonts.
  • Add coloring parameter to external driver API. Does not need ABI bump.
  • Fix some typos in skeleton ssnes.cfg.
  •  Fix bug where multiple cheats might could not be used at the same time (really?).
  • SSNES can now remember cheat settings used in last session. If cheat_settings_path is set, SSNES will record cheats used in that file, and reload the settings on restart.

Phoenix GUI:

  • Rework behavior when spawning SSNES. Avoid certain cases with 100% CPU usage, especially in Win32/OSX. The logging window is also far more responsive while SSNES is running.
  • Add options for video_message_color and cheat_settings_path.

SNES 0.7 14.08.2011

  • Added -f/--fullscreen option. Allows straight-to-fullscreen without the video_fullscreen config.
  • Fixed some endianness issues in OSS driver.
  • Added DirectSound audio driver. It uses multithreading to avoid "ringing" effect when things undderun. Replaces SDL as the default audio driver in Windows. XAudio2 is still recommended to use, at least in Windows 7.
  • Added CoreAudio driver to OSX (thanks to kode54). Replaces OpenAL as the default API.
  • Added possibility to disable Aero compositor at will in Windows. Only useful in windowed mode if VSync is not working properly (tearing or stuttering), and might still not work. Use as a last resort if you really need to run windowed.
  • Fixed bug where external plugin video driver was deinitialized before input driver, creating crashes in certain scenarios.
  • Added possibility to record SNES video in hi-res, and also allows recording the video after CPU filtering if desired. These options are added to the GUI as well.
  • Fixed windowing behavior on tiled WM that attempt to resize the SDL window due to tiling behavior (thanks to Wisp for beta testing).
  • Updated audio DSP API to v3. Added an event pushing callback, which allows GUIs to run in same thread as SSNES (needed for some toolkits). (Check out Mudlords DSP pack for SSNES! )
  • Fixed race condition in Jack driver which caused spurious crashes.
  • Various bug fixes as usual.
