CP/M Box 1.11.1 4/10/2025
- To celebrate the PCW# mini release, I've uploaded a small update to the emulator, with TurboSound support:
- It also stops a column from scrolling in video mode 3 (PCW# mini doesn't have this limitation) and fixes a few other minor issues.
CP/M Box 1.11.0 28/08/2025
This version includes quite a few internal improvements (such as a new audio system), as well as bug fixes. But for the user:
- An option to remember the window position and size.
- New audio control, with a stereo mixer for each source and VU meters.
- Sound chip selection (AY or Yamaha) in Dk'tronics.
- Initial memory values, depending on the type of integrated chip used.
If you try any game that uses the internal buzzer, you'll notice it sounds different, more similar to PCW. This is due to the correction of a bug that's been present almost from the beginning. It originally used an 8-bit audio output, and when migrating to 16-bit for 1.0, the fact that the first one has no sign and the second one does, didn't fix it much. It also didn't help that I have the musical ear of a stone and didn't notice. #-o
Anyway, after migrating to the new system (floats + DC lock + dynamic range compression), it's finally here, sounding just like it should have from the start.

Apart from improvements and internal corrections:
- Better interface scaling according to DPI.
- Dark theme.
- Preset sizes.
- Variable emulation speed (several presets).
- Rendering option with dithering (especially useful for reductions).
- EMR MIDI.
- Redefinable emulated keypad.
- Mouse sensitivity adjustment.
And for those who develop, in the debugger:
- Cycle counter (controllable by debugging API).
- Character grid.
- Double click on registers or value in stack to go to the address in code view or with capital letters to data.
- Combination of breakpoints.
- I think I'm not leaving anything out.
