Nowa wersja nieoficjalnej kontynuacji projektu emulatora NINTENDO 8 (Famicon) - Nestopia. Warto wspomnieć, iż w obecnej chwili Nestopia UE rozwijana jest tylko jako aplikacja pod linuksa i jako biblioteka wchodząca w skład projektu libretro. Trochę czasu minęło od ostatniej oficjalnej wersji.

Nestopia UE 1.52.1 is released. This is not the most exciting release, but there are a few new mappers supported, and there are a few little fixes for the FLTK port. Included this time around in the win32 release is the huge collection of palettes that have been in the source code repository for years, but never distributed with the release. As far as core emulation is concerned, there are yet again some improvements to accuracy. This is also the first win32 binary release done on github rather than sourceforge.

  • This is a release of Nestopia that includes the xBr filter made by Hyllian. For more information on this filter go here
  • This filter works well on SNES and Genesis games. It's not such a big benefit (over HQ4X) on NES games, but you might like the result.
  • 1.41.2 had an ugly bug that resulted in a blank screen in some cases. This version fixes that and adds the A and C variants of the filter.
  • The difference between 4xBr A-B-C and HQ4X:



A - Don't round corners. (Good for RGP games)
B - Round some corners. (The default setting)
C - Round all corners (On the FF screenshot the windows in the houses are now smaller and the doors are tent openings)

W sumie w czasie moich ostatnich wakacyjnch wojaży z nowinek nowa wersja Cemu jest chyba najbardziej istotna do odnotowania. Co prawda, ten emulator konsoli Nintendo WiiU pojawia się dość regularnie w kanale automatycznych buildów, jednak należy przyjąć, iż ogłoszenie nowej pełnej wersji programu zamyka jakiś cykl deweloperski tego projektu.
