Kolejny dzień, kolejna zmiana w Altirrze, emulatorze małych maszynek ATARI, Phaerona współtwórcy innej, bardzo popularnej aplikacji do edycji wideo - virtualDub. [Thx Breaker].
Poprawka wymusza reset emulowanych urządzeń przy tzw. "zimnym" resecie emulatora (odpowiadajacym realnemu wyłączeniu urządzenia).
Przy okazji, Phaeron napisał spory post, informujący o stanie prac nad emulatorem, pozwolę sobie przekopiować kawałek, a cała reszta tutaj.
On a 1.9 release... I never give release dates, but I think it's close. I'm not going to integrate in any more big stuff, and it's mostly bug fixes right now. There are some reports on the debugger trickling in, and I have a couple of people helpfully looking at the serial port and IDE emulation right now. Overall, I don't think it'll be too long. But then again, I'm pretty much doing everything on a week cycle now

I was struck by both nostalgia and ambition and started to write a new 8-bit Atari emulator from scratch. This is the result.
At this point, I've learned a lot more about the Atari and Altirra now emulates more than I ever had or did years ago, but I still work on it periodically. It also serves as a modularity test for the VirtualDub code base, from which Altirra shares some components. If you are struck by nostalgia too or have a desire to do some Atari development, perhaps it might be useful to you, too.
